Contract Manager Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating a range of works across multiple sites, reporting back to the Associate Director.

The ideal candidate will have a retail / fit-out background, be based within commuting distance of Letchworth, and be happy to travel for work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that processes are in place to allow department operatives to efficiently perform their individual duties to a satisfactory standard.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and business partners, ensuring effective communication.
  • Ensure all tender enquiries are handled promptly, and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Manage and deliver client expectations carefully, ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Regularly gather feedback from clients and take appropriate action to address any concerns raised.
  • Oversee operations and workforce management on assigned projects, including the selection and coordination of subcontractors.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with company standards, as well as industry policies and best practices.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, including adherence to current legislation.
  • Hold regular review meetings with the shopfitting and building services department.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Must have a knowledge of retail / fit-out works.
  • Local to Letchworth, Garden city and willing to travel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • SSSTS / SMSTS.
  • UK driving license.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong IT skills.
