About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at BuildMyTalent in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to produce technically sound engineering solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements
  • Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation as part of the production of scheme deliverables
  • Oversee the actions of more junior members of staff undertaking similar tasks and take responsibility for their actions
  • Control budgets and manage the costs associated with the production of deliverables
  • Liaise with client and supplier representatives at peer level, attending progress meetings and responding to queries
  • Contribute to the preparation of bids and the general work winning function
  • Drive effective health and safety practices within the team
Requirements
  • Developed experience and expertise within the relevant technical field
  • Ability to produce technically sound engineering solutions, working unsupervised and supervising more junior members of staff
  • Experienced in undertaking project-related tasks associated with the management of health, safety and welfare
  • Very good working knowledge of relevant software and analytical tools
  • Demonstrates good commercial awareness
  • Has a very good understanding of CDM and risk assessment
  • Successful completion of professional review or end point assessment, resulting in the award of Incorporated or Chartered status
