About the RoleAs a School Maintenance Support Specialist, your duties will include performing regular maintenance checks, assisting in the maintenance of classrooms, toilets, playgrounds, and all school buildings. You will also be required to assist in the repairing and painting of furniture, fittings, and buildings as needed. Additionally, you will be responsible for attending to arrivals of deliveries at the school gate, their distribution, and ensuring facilities are fully stocked.
Main Responsibilities- Performing and recording regular maintenance checks.
- Assisting in the maintenance of classrooms, toilets, playgrounds, and all school buildings.
- Assisting in the repairing and painting of furniture, fittings, and buildings as required.
- Attending to arrivals of deliveries at the school gate and their distribution.
- Ensuring facilities are fully stocked.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have good communication skills, a keenness to learn all aspects of a maintenance role in a school of our size, and previous experience in a similar role would be an asset but is not essential. You will also need to be able to use your own initiative, be decisive, and adapt to changing situations. The ability to organise work day by day and respond to emergencies is also essential.
BenefitsThis full-time role (40 hours per week) offers a competitive salary, with working hours generally between 9am and 6pm, although some flexibility may be necessary for school events in the evenings and at weekends. You will also receive 25 days annual holiday, plus bank holidays.
