About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Teaching Fellow to join our team at the William Harvey Research Institute (WHRI) and Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and developing the education and research strategy of the Institute.

The Clinical Teaching Fellow will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the existing Critical Care Medicine PGT programme and developing and delivering the new MSc in Perioperative medicine. The ideal candidate will have an MBBS (or equivalent) and GMC accreditation, with experience in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level in large or small group settings.

About the Department

The WHRI consists of eight institutes with over 500 staff, aiming to deliver research and teaching excellence across three general themes: cardiovascular, inflammation and endocrinology. The Institute has embedded groups of excellence in Intensive Care, Perioperative Medicine, and Renal medicine.

Working Arrangements

The educational part of the post will be based at the Charterhouse and Whitechapel Campuses in London, while the clinical portion will be based in the Adult Critical Care Unit and the department of Anaesthesia at the Royal London Hospital. The post is full-time (35 hours per week) and 12 months in duration, with an expected start date.
