About the Role
The Clinical Research Fellow will be part of the Centre for Preventive Neurology at Queen Mary University of London, working within the Parkinson's disease group. This team focuses on the clinical, genetic, and biomarker aspects of Parkinson's disease and those at risk.
The post holder will work on the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI study), a large-scale study creating an open-access data set and biosample library to accelerate scientific breakthroughs and treatments in Parkinson's disease.
About You
Candidates must have a Medical degree (MB BS or equivalent) and an MRCP or equivalent postgraduate qualification would be desirable. The Clinical Research Fellow will undertake research assessments and investigations as part of the clinical research team and under the supervision of the Professor of Neurology and Neuroepidemiology and the Consultant Neurologist.
The post-holder will be expected to assist with specific aspects of PPMI and related projects, including clinical assessments, biological sample collection, and data analysis and quality control. They will be expected to complete a research project as part of the post and present the results (conference abstract or publication).
