About the ProgrammeThis exceptional Engineering Degree Apprentice Programme has been running since 2009 and offers a wide range of opportunities in Aerospace Engineering. You will have the chance to work on live Avionics projects, gain hands-on experience, and accelerate your career through challenging opportunities and Continuous Professional Development.
What You Will Do- Study for an Engineering Bachelor's (Hons) Degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering, with all fees paid.
- Gain work experience on live Avionics projects.
- Participate in STEM Outreach activities, local schools' engagement, and various external events.
- Develop your skills and experience through rotations in Live Avionics engineering teams.
- Complete the GE Team Development Award Scheme and support from Technical, Academic, and Pastoral Mentors.
To be eligible for this programme, you will need:
- BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering at grade DMM or above.
- Equivalent qualification with appropriate Mathematics content.
- 5 GCSE's (including Math and English, at C/4 or above).
- Commitment to Personal Development and Community Volunteering.
- Dedication to a career in technology and a genuine passion for engineering.
- Some relevant work experience.
- Pro-activity, initiative, and enthusiasm.
- A genuine interest in, and experience of, working with people.
- An analytic and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- An awareness of the GE Aviation Defence & Systems Cheltenham business, including our products and customers.
