Job Summary

Donard Recruitment is seeking a skilled Nurse Assessor to join our team in Bilston, West Midlands. As a Nurse Assessor, you will provide unbiased assessments for the Government's disability allowance (PIP) while ensuring a personalized, inclusive, safe, and empathetic service.

With a competitive salary of £38,500 - £41,500 per year and hybrid working hours available, this role offers an excellent work-life balance. You will have access to training options, including 12 weeks of full-time training, 14 weeks of part-time training with four days per week, and 17 weeks of part-time training with three days per week.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Paramedic with valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to become a Nurse Assessor with a leading employer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing caseloads from end to end, including face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls, and paper-based reports.

You will assess a full range of health conditions and disabilities, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual, and cognitive impairments. Time will be built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence, and team meetings.
