Ventrus Multi Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team on a fixed term maternity cover position.

Job Summary
  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals by providing individualized assistance and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective lesson plans and strategies.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of lessons, including setting up equipment and materials, to ensure a smooth and engaging learning experience.
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive school community by fostering a culture of respect and empathy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support to students, both in and out of the classroom, to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of lessons, including setting up equipment and materials, to ensure a smooth and engaging learning experience.
  • Offer individualized support to students, including those with special educational needs, to help them access the curriculum and make progress.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture by promoting a growth mindset and encouraging students to take ownership of their learning.
Requirements
  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths are essential for this role.
  • Experience working with children in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial for success in this position.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
Working Pattern

This is a fixed term position working 25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

Salary

NJC Grade C - £23,500 - £24,294 FTE (pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)
