About the Role

Girling Jones Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Water and Utilities team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering top-quality solutions to challenging engineering dilemmas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design new and replacement potable water mains
  • Foul drainage and CSO remediation work
  • Conventional and urban drainage design
  • Solve challenging engineering dilemmas

Requirements

  • Relevant Civil Engineering degree (Masters desirable but not essential)
  • 3+ years of experience within the water industry
  • Knowledge of potable, surface, foul water design and/or construction
  • Be working, or be willing to work towards Chartership
  • Competent in 3D design and modelling using MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
  • Knowledge of Water Authority approval processes (i.e. S104, S106)
  • SuDS Approval Body involvement
  • Able to manage workloads effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Able to work to your own initiative, independently, and within a team
  • Methodical, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
