Freelance Interpreter Required for UK Assignments

We are seeking a skilled interpreter to provide high-quality services to our clients in the UK. As a freelancer, you will have the flexibility to choose your assignments and work at your own pace.
Language Empire is a well-established company that provides interpreting and translation services to the public and private sectors. We are looking for an interpreter who can work in various settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other organizations.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to interpret in multiple languages. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team.
As a freelancer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments and develop your skills and experience. You will also have access to ongoing support and training from our dedicated team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality interpreting services to clients
- Working in various settings, including face-to-face, telephone, and video interpreting
- Interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services
- Checking the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
- Liaising between the service user and service provider
Requirements:
- Fluent in English and another language
- All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- You must be aged 21 or over
- Formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
