Materials Waste and Fleet Manager
to oversee our operations.
This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, with a competitive salary range of £42,403 to £49,498 per annum. We are open to considering various working arrangements, including full-time, part-time, and job share options.
Key Responsibilities
As the Materials Waste and Fleet Manager, you will:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction in materials, waste, and fleet management.
- Develop and implement service strategies while managing supplier relationships.
- Oversee performance metrics and budget management within the service area.
- Foster strong partnerships with suppliers to enhance service excellence.
- Manage day-to-day contract performance with external suppliers.
- Monitor and report on the performance of materials, equipment, and waste management.
- Drive improvements in productivity and sustainability across core services.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and health and safety regulations.
- Analyze data to recommend operational improvements for fleet performance.
- Lead the delivery of the Fleet Strategy to support organizational objectives.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in logistics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A professional qualification with the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP) at intermediary level or higher is advantageous.
- Experience in materials management within a high-volume environment.
- Proven skills in performance management of materials and waste suppliers.
- Strong budget management and contract negotiation skills.
- Expertise in developing and implementing operational strategies and procedures.
- Excellent project management and partnership collaboration abilities.
- Ability to analyze data and monitor key performance indicators effectively.
A valid driving license is essential for this position.
