Job Summary:
The Specification Sales Manager - Roofing and Waterproofing Systems will be responsible for promoting and selling roofing and waterproofing systems to new build clients, including architects, main contractors, and local authorities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of field sales within the roofing industry, with a strong understanding of technical building products and their applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field sales position promoting roofing and waterproofing systems to new build clients
- Calling upon new build clients within Edinburgh postcodes and surrounding areas
- Winning specifications with architects, local authorities, building surveyors, and building owners
- Dealing with main contractors, approved roofing contractors, and architectural practices
- Inheriting a significant project bank and pipeline of live projects
- Targeting £1.5m in sales
- Focusing on refurbishment projects and providing product training
Requirements:
- Proven track record of field sales within the roofing industry
- Strong understanding of technical building products and their applications
- Experience working with architects, local authorities, building surveyors, and building owners
- Surveying knowledge and experience may be useful
- Highly motivated and self-driven with a keen ambition to succeed and progress
- Excellent communication skills and strong negotiating and influencing abilities
- Hungry to learn mentality
