Job Description:

The Civil Asset Engineer will play a critical role in our client's Engineering department, ensuring that technical deliverables on capital delivery schemes meet the highest quality standards. A background in utilities or a similar infrastructure business is required to lead a civil engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and coordinate multiple projects using a multidisciplinary design approach
  2. Demonstrate commercial awareness and effectively manage risks associated with contracts and health and safety
  3. Work as part of an integrated project team and engineering department to impact outcomes and collaborate with stakeholders
  4. Manage project workloads and resources, oversee line management and goal setting, and support, guide, and coach your team
  5. Implement a safety strategy aligned with Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 (CDM2015) as part of project delivery
  6. Promote and implement innovation in design delivery, construction methodology, and asset operation
  7. Ensure technical excellence and best practice in the delivery of project outputs
  8. Quality assurance following the relevant company Check, Review, and Approve processes and QA management requirements
  9. Performance manage staff, contractor, and supplier teams engaged on the project
  10. Support, guide, and mentor staff to ensure technical expertise is applied to projects
  11. Manage and liaise with contractors and sub-contractors working in an integrated design team
  12. Liaise with customers, internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements:

Skills and Experience:

  • Civil engineering degree
  • Ideally chartered
  • Worked across infra and non-infra projects
  • Experienced with all levels of design through to delivery
  • Leadership experience
  • Technical delivery experience - design through to construction and maintenance of infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets
  • Excellent people management skills
Benefits:

Salary: up to £71k
Car Allowance: £5985
Holiday: 25 days rising with length of service
