Our client, a leading water company, is seeking a highly skilled Civil Asset Engineer to lead a team of civil engineers on a range of projects based out of Snodland.

Job Description:

The Civil Asset Engineer will play a critical role in our client's Engineering department, ensuring that technical deliverables on capital delivery schemes meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in utilities or a similar infrastructure business and experience leading a civil engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and coordinate multiple projects using a multidisciplinary design approach
  2. Demonstrate commercial awareness and effectively manage risks associated with contracts and health and safety
  3. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to impact outcomes and create effective teams
  4. Manage project workloads and resources, oversee line management, and support staff to achieve the best results
  5. Implement a safety strategy aligned with CDM2015 regulations and enhance procedures and practices
  6. Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects through project teams
  7. Promote innovation in design delivery, construction methodology, and asset operation
  8. Ensure technical excellence and best practice in project outputs
  9. Quality assurance following company Check, Review, and Approve processes and QA management requirements
  10. Performance manage staff, contractor, and supplier teams to ensure efficiency targets are met
  11. Support and mentor staff to ensure technical expertise is applied to projects
  12. Manage and liaise with contractors and sub-contractors working in an integrated design team
  13. Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements:

Essential:

  • Civil engineering degree
  • Ideally chartered
  • Experience working across infra and non-infra projects
  • Technical delivery experience - design through to construction and maintenance of infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets
  • Excellent people management skills
