This is a fantastic opportunity for a maintenance manager or engineering manager looking to progress and improve their career into an operational role. Our client is looking for an Engineering Manager to oversee various projects, manage timescales, allocate engineers, arrange external contractors, and manage budget projects and continuous improvement projects.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing all maintenance functions across the site, including both reactive and planned preventative maintenance. With 12 plus engineers available, it will be the Engineering Manager's responsibility to work with the supervisors to delegate work to each engineer depending on the nature of the fault (electrical or mechanical), urgency of the problem, and availability of engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively plan overtime while working within the Working Time Directive.
  • Ensure plant shutdowns are planned, resourced, and evaluated with labor and spares requirements.
  • Previous experience working as an Engineering Manager.
  • Engineering qualification in Electrical or Mechanical.
  • First-class training and paid education to enhance your engineering knowledge.
  • Autonomy to implement new and enhance the engineering function.
