About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in London. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering infrastructure projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake mechanical design reviews to ensure buildability and constructability, identifying any weaknesses or errors in the design that could jeopardise the functionality.
  • Design and deliver mechanical installations, including tunnel ventilation, HVAC, and pumped systems, ensuring compliance with installation parameters and HSE best practices.
  • Provide engineered solutions to key project problems, satisfying client expectations, project restrictions, and budget considerations.
  • Manage design registers, meeting minutes, drawing registers, and formal communication, including RFIs, TQs, EWNs, and MARs.
  • Liaise with CAD teams to ensure correct drawing modelling, review drawings for clash detection, and interface problems.
  • Develop scope documents for tenders and procurement processes, and liaise with manufacturers to determine product suitability.
  • Attend FAT and SAT stages to ensure compliance with requirements, and work with installation teams to ensure design suitability and works methodology.
  • Work with the commercial department to track design change and variances, and with the planning department to plan design, installation, and T&C works.
  • Manage subcontractor works, ensuring design and works comply with VVB and client quality management systems.
