Job Summary

Viasat is seeking a highly skilled Aviation Contract Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial program development team, you will play a critical role in improving our aviation win rate and mitigating risks for Viasat.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the commercial team in creating and negotiating key terms and contracts for key Aviation prospects and customers.
  • Own the airline negotiations and ensure opportunities are well qualified and risks are mitigated.
  • Participate and/or lead groundbreaking projects for the business, with economical sustainability and risk mitigation as a primary objective.
  • Prepare with the Legal team all the negotiations with commercial airlines, in collaboration with all involved collaborators.
  • Use industry knowledge and experience to steer and influence commercial decisions to ensure the best quality contracts are produced and that they are commercially viable.
  • Support a few key transversal topics, such as capacity analysis.
  • Have a deep legal, commercial, and technical understanding of the product to make the right arbitrations in key customer conversations.

Requirements

  • Degree educated or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 5 years relevant and strong commercial experience in a technology organization.
  • Proven data modeling skills, economical and financial awareness.
  • Significant track record in setting commercial policies and implementing them.
  • Ability to understand complex information, organize it logically, and spot irregularities between bodies of information.
  • Proficient in productivity applications such as Excel and Project.
  • Exposure to the aviation industry and highly technical products.
