About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our team as a Social Impact Specialist. This exciting opportunity involves working with young people, schools, and community groups to deliver high-quality coaching sessions and programs.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will be committed to delivering inclusive and accessible services that meet the needs of all participants.

Salary: £12 per hour

Location: Venues in and around Reading, Wokingham, West Berkshire, Bracknell, and Windsor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering coaching sessions during unsociable hours across our Kicks, Female Kicks, and Women/Girls provisions.
  • Liaising with line manager regarding session success and considerations to improve participation and quality of experience to participants.
  • Working with key charitable partners across practical delivery to help supervise and mentor young people and volunteers.
  • Promoting participation in PL Kicks activities; encouraging vulnerable & targeted young people in the community and in schools.
  • Developing an understanding of how highly regarded The PL Kicks Brand is to young people and delivering to a high level on their expectations.
  • Ability to deal with challenging behaviour and follow correct reporting and referral procedures.
  • Delivering an inclusive programme of diversionary activities & educational workshops for young people with a variety of needs.
  • Identifying and attending continuous professional development courses appropriate to Kicks delivery.
  • Understanding The FA's Disability Pathway and local County FA provisions.
  • Highlighting and signposting participants into a number of agreed exit routes across appropriate provisions.
  • Leading on promotion of our services and products available to the general public.
  • Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Trustees.
  • Assisting with the bookings of school-based projects, writing reports and coordinating a monitoring and evaluation system.
  • Working in accordance with Reading FC Community Trust policies and procedures.
  • Upholding the Trust's GDPR and Data protection policies.
  • Adhering to a strict code of confidentiality in respect of any information relating to Reading Football Club.
  • Maintaining and following Reading Football Club Community Trust's policies and procedures.
  • Acting in a manner that always supports the Trust's Vision and Values.
  • Being presentable at all times and demonstrating that you can represent the face of the club in the manner expected.
  • Ensuring your DBS remains up to date and all training requirements for your role are current.
