About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Emergency Practitioner to join our team at Wiltshire Health and Care LLP. As a key member of our Minor Injury Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with a range of conditions, using your clinical expertise and judgment.
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement in patient care.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or Paramedic qualification.
  • Emergency Nurse Practitioner course at Level 3.
  • Teaching qualification (ENB998; FETC 730 or equivalent).
  • Immediate Life Support (Adult and child) certification.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent.
  • Ability to demonstrate ongoing professional development.
  • Training in managing conduct, health, sickness, and performance, recruitment & selection, appraisal.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Masters degree.
  • Management course (NEBS or equivalent).
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification.
  • Child Protection level 3 certification.
  • Significant experience within ED/MIU, including experience as an autonomous practitioner at Band 6 or above.
