Job Title: Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Carbon60 Aylesbury. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the effective and efficient commissioning management of mechanical, electrical, and public health services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review tender documentation to ensure design and commissioning ability, and prepare necessary submission documentation for commissioning and handover.
  • Assist in comprehensive commissioning reviews at the design stage, reviewing mechanical and electrical specifications, drawings, schematics, equipment selections, and technical submittals to highlight potential installation and commissioning issues.
  • Prepare commissioning procedures plans and strategies, and liaise with project teams, building services managers, clients, consultants, and services subcontractors.
  • Review sub-contractor commissioning method statements and comment as necessary.
  • Assist in preparing weekly progress reports and monthly status reports, highlighting potential issues.
  • Visit sites prior to planned commissioning to ensure installation and building readiness.
  • Organize and facilitate client and consultant witnessing of successful commissioning, including sign-off.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities to ensure compliance and sign-off.
  • Collate mechanical and electrical commissioning documentation for O&M manuals.
  • Organize and facilitate client systems demonstrations, including sign-off.
  • Attend to and report on commissioning and snagging issues post-practical completion throughout the defects liability period.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of commissioning engineering.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Travel will be necessary.
  • Professional qualification is desirable.
  • White or black CSCS card and SMSTS qualification.
