Job Title: Chief Information Security Officer Strategy and Operating Office Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Security Officer Strategy and Operating Office Manager to join our team at Direct Line Insurance Group plc. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of our CISO strategy and operating office, driving innovation and excellence in cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive CISO strategy, aligning with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Lead the CISO Academy and Champions program, promoting cybersecurity awareness and a security-first culture across the organization.
  • Manage CISO operational and capital expenditure, ensuring cost-effectiveness and strategic investment alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, developing automated metrics and dashboards for real-time risk management.
  • Govern resource management, support career development, and manage training and talent retention strategies.
  • Facilitate governance forums, provide advice on operational and strategic investments, and oversee change, financial, and resource management processes.
Requirements:
  • Information security background with a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage effective relationships with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in managing competing deadlines and prioritizing responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience working in the financial services industry.
  • Project management certifications, such as PRINCE2 or Agile.
  • Knowledge of financial management tools and systems.
