Job Title: Chief Information Security Officer Strategy and Operating Office Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Security Officer Strategy and Operating Office Manager to join our team at Direct Line Group. As a key member of our CISO team, you will be responsible for overseeing the alignment of our CISO roadmaps to our CISO Strategy and group priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Management: Oversee the CISO portfolio alignment with Business, Technology, and CISO strategies.
  2. Leadership: Lead the CISO Academy and CISO Champions program to promote cybersecurity, operational resilience, and data privacy awareness, fostering a security-first culture.
  3. Financial Oversight: Manage CISO operational and capital expenditure, ensuring cost-effectiveness, financial reporting, and strategic investment alignment. Provide financial advice to leadership and oversee the CISO finance dashboard.
  4. Risk & Compliance: Ensure employees and contractors understand CISO requirements to reduce cyber risk. Develop automated compliance metrics and dashboards for real-time risk management.
  5. Resource & Talent Management: Govern resource management, support career development, and manage training and talent retention strategies.
  6. Governance & Reporting: Facilitate governance forums, provide advice on operational and strategic investments, and oversee change, financial, and resource management processes.
  7. Delegation: Act as a delegate to the Head of CISO Strategy & Operating Office as needed.
Requirements:
  • Information security background
  • Ability to manage effective relationships with business stakeholders, technical teams, and 3rd party vendors.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritize responsibilities to effectively meet business needs.
  • Demonstrate strong competence in Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team at all levels and across all business units.
  • Motivated to deliver quality and striving for continual improvement.
Desirable Skills/Competencies:
  • Working in the Financial Services industry
  • Project Management and Project Management tools
  • Knowledge of Financial Management tools
