We are seeking a Claims and Compliance Solicitor to join our busy motor team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for handling a varied caseload of pre-litigation and litigated work, including cases where liability is disputed and attending Court/Counsel.

You will be expected to maintain and apply a consistent approach to all individual targets of financial performance, realization rates, settlement rate, and average claim spend. Additionally, you will support marketing and business development activity within the team, such as attending marketing events and client training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running and assisting with a varied case load of pre-litigation and litigated work with the appropriate levels of supervision.
  • Hit, maintain and apply a consistent approach to all individual targets of financial performance, realization rates, settlement rate and average claim spend.
  • Support marketing and business development activity within the team.
  • Assume responsibility for quality control and benchmark compliance on own caseload.
  • Maintain an awareness of firm's procedures and strategies.
  • Maintain and develop technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions, reading appropriate publications.

Requirements:

  • 0–2-year PQE Solicitor interested in developing a role within a busy motor team.
  • Litigation experience.
  • A keen interest and enthusiasm for motor work and the demands of clients.
  • Able to adopt a commercial perspective to legal issues with a concern for quality of service.
  • Ability to strictly comply with client requirements and SLA's.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize your own workload.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in handling or assisting in motor litigation claims is desirable but not essential.
