Salary Range: £105,504 to £139,882 per annum (pro rata)

Main Responsibilities

">

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing gastroenterology and general medical patients as inpatients and outpatients, ensuring timely and effective treatment. This will include supporting the delivery of the out-of-hours GI bleed rota, collaborating with the regional interventional radiology service, and participating in weekly upper GI cancer MDMs.

In addition, the post holder will contribute to improving the emergency patient pathway by delivering early consultant-led specialist input for patients with GI disorders and facilitating early discharge through timely endoscopies.

  • Full GMC Registration
  • CCST/CCT in Gastroenterology / General Medicine (or will obtain within 6 months of interview date) or inclusion in the Specialist Register
  • IELTS (Academic) level 7.5, or graduate of a Medical School in UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, USA or Canada">

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have broad experience in general gastroenterology and general internal medicine, with a strong ability to perform emergency endoscopy for GI bleeding.

A Mentor will be provided for the successful candidate, and secretarial support and an adequately equipped office, including IT facilities, will also be available.
