About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our team in the Physiotherapy Outpatient department. As a senior physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, responsive outpatient physiotherapy services for adults and children with musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • To work as a senior physiotherapy practitioner to provide a high-quality, responsive outpatient physiotherapy service for adults and children with musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions.
  • To provide a high standard of physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and caseload management.
  • To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner working without direct supervision.
  • To be involved in supervision and education of junior physiotherapists, physiotherapy assistants, technical instructors, work experience students, and physiotherapy students.

Person Specification

Education/Qualifications/Training
Essential
  • Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy.
Continuous Professional Development
Desirable
  • Evidence of CPD in a portfolio including attendance at recent postgraduate courses relevant to the clinical field / reflective practice in this clinical field.
Previous Experience
Essential
  • Postgraduate / undergraduate experience in musculoskeletal / orthopaedic outpatients.
  • Postgraduate experience for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Experience of working in UK health systems / NHS.
Desirable
  • Postgraduate experience covering core rotations.
  • Supervision of juniors / assistants / students.
Desirable
  • Sound knowledge of Physiotherapy in the relevant area.
  • Ability to work independently, but seek help when required.
  • Awareness of relevant National and local policies and guidelines relevant to the area.
  • Understanding of Clinical Governance and legal responsibilities of the role and its implications for services.
  • Flexible and Adaptable.
