Reception Teacher Opportunity

Wayman Education is working with a vibrant and forward-thinking primary school in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, seeking a dedicated and emotionally intelligent Reception Teacher.

The school prides itself on developing well-rounded, confident pupils through a supportive pastoral environment, and we are looking for a primary teacher who can drive attainment and create engaging lessons for young learners.

Responsibilities of a Reception Teacher

  • As a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Early Years Foundation Stage, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
  • Teaching the EYFS curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
  • Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry to enhance children's problem-solving skills.
  • Helping children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories, fostering their creativity and imagination.
  • Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents, ensuring open communication and transparency.
