We are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to join our team at Supply Desk. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Learning Disabilities.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing behavioral and emotional support to pupils, communicating effectively with parents and teachers, and implementing individual programmes. We are looking for someone who is creative, innovative, and able to vary their teaching style and techniques to best suit each pupil's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1, small group, and classroom support to SEN pupils
  • Implementing individual education plans and contributing to IEPs
  • Communicating effectively with parents and teachers
  • Varying teaching style and techniques to meet the needs of each pupil

Requirements:

  • NVQ in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (Unqualified Teaching Assistants welcome)
  • Good knowledge of SEN and passion for developing pupils
  • Experience of supporting social and emotional development
  • Able to commute to Hoggeston and surrounding areas
