About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Aldi UK as an Assistant Store Manager, where you will play a key role in helping to run a multi-million pound store, while motivating and developing a diverse and talented team.
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving the store's goals, including maximising sales, ensuring great customer service, minimising costs, and optimising operational efficiency.
You will be a key member of the store leadership team, working closely with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager in achieving store goals and objectives
- Lead and motivate a team of retail staff to deliver excellent customer service
- Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction
- Manage store operations, including stock management, inventory control, and cash handling
- Work closely with the Store Manager to develop and implement operational plans and procedures
- Monitor and report on store performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
Requirements:
- Experience in a retail management role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of leading and motivating a team to deliver excellent customer service
- Strong business acumen and ability to develop and implement strategies to drive business growth
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of £35,625 - £43,440 per annum
- A flexible 40 or 45-hour contract, with the option to work a 40-hour contract over 4 days
- 4 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 5 weeks after 2 years
