Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Thermal Power Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will be responsible for identifying cost-effective reliability enhancements and upgrades to support the operation and maintenance of industry-leading Steam and Gas Turbines, Generators, and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop computational models and analysis for gas turbine and steam turbine component design, performance, and reliability upgrade proposals.
  2. Support the development and improvement of turbine performance assessment tools and processes to support cost-saving initiatives.
  3. Evaluate the impact of product and performance upgrade solutions on existing performances.
  4. Support configuration management activities by maintaining records of installed configurations, previous modifications, and upgrades.
  5. Collaborate with Project management, Customer Support, and Commercial Teams to maintain optimum inventory of used parts.
  6. Provide technical capability to support feasibility studies for performance enhancement solutions.
  7. Evaluate and maintain the competitive landscape of product and performance enhancement solutions available in the market.

Requirements

  1. An Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Thermal Power and Fluids, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  2. Strong understanding of simulation and design of different types of gas turbines for aerospace, marine, or industrial applications.
  3. Knowledge of thermodynamics and performance calculation, with a demonstrable understanding of performance calculations of GT, GTCC, and Steam turbine powerplants.
  4. Proficient technical report writing and communication skills.
  5. Good knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and simulation software.
