Job Summary

Mitsubishi Power Europe, Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Enhancement Specialist to join our Engineering Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying cost-effective reliability enhancements, upgrades, and conducting performance evaluations of proposed design/upgrade solutions to support the operation and maintenance of our Customer's equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with other Engineering Teams in developing computational models/analysis for gas turbine/steam turbine component design, performance, and reliability upgrade proposals.
  2. Support the development and improvement of turbine performance assessment tools and processes to support cost-saving initiatives.
  3. Evaluate the impact of product and performance upgrade solutions over existing performances.
  4. Support configuration management activities by maintaining a record of all the installed configurations, previous modifications, and upgrades by following known best practices in company-approved databases.
  5. Support Project management, Customer Support, and Commercial Teams to maintain optimum inventory of used parts.
  6. Provide and develop technical capability to support feasibility studies for performance enhancement solutions.
  7. Evaluate and maintain the competitive landscape of product and performance enhancement solutions available in the market.

Requirements

  1. An Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Thermal Power and Fluids, Mechanical Engineering, or other closely related field.
  2. An understanding of the simulation and design of different types of gas turbines for aerospace, marine, or industrial applications.
  3. You will ideally have knowledge of thermodynamics and performance calculation. In addition, you will have a demonstrable understanding of the performance calculations of GT, GTCC, and Steam turbine power plants.
  4. Proficient technical report writing and communication skills.
  5. Good knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and simulation software.
