About the Role

SeeAbility is looking for an exceptional Senior Support Worker to join our team at Heather House, a nursing home for young people living with complex neurological disabilities.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, promoting their independence, and enabling them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and supervise a team of Support Workers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
  • Develop and maintain person-centered care plans, working closely with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care, adhering to regulatory standards and SeeAbility's values.
  • Collaborate with the deputy manager to manage staff performance, development, and appraisals.
  • Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of records and support plans, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Work positively with other agencies, parents, carers, and services to ensure person-centered care.

What You'll Need

  • QCF in Health & Social Care level 2 Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Willingness to undertake a level 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Experience of providing high-quality care and support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to mentoring and supporting others
