Salary
As a Trainee Bus Driver, you can expect a competitive salary ranging from £11.44 to £13.35 per hour. During your initial training period, you will receive £11.44 per hour. After completing your training, you will be eligible for a pay increase to £11.65 per hour for the first 6 months, followed by £13.35 per hour thereafter. Additionally, you will receive premium rates for bank holidays at £25.00 per hour.
Job Description
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills as a bus driver, working closely with our experienced team members. Your primary responsibility will be to safely transport passengers between designated stops, adhering to strict safety protocols and maintaining a high level of customer service. You will also participate in ongoing CPC training, ensuring your knowledge and skills stay up-to-date with industry standards. As you progress in your career, you may have opportunities for advancement into management roles or specialized positions within the company.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively interact with customers and colleagues alike. A valid driving license, minimal of 6 months of driving experience, and a clean driving record are essential prerequisites. Furthermore, you must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test, demonstrating your commitment to road safety and well-being.
