Maternity Safeguarding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maternity Safeguarding Specialist to join our team at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our safeguarding team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of women and their babies.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and support midwives and other healthcare professionals in safeguarding practices.
- Develop and deliver training and education programs on safeguarding and child protection.
- Manage and maintain a busy inbox, responding to queries and concerns from staff and patients.
- Liaise with multi-agency partners to ensure robust plans are in place for vulnerable women and their babies.
- Attend and chair meetings with Children's Social Care and other stakeholders to discuss safeguarding concerns.
- Conduct audits and data analysis to inform safeguarding practices and improve outcomes.
