University Hospital Wishaw is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Nurse to join their Integrated Community Children's Nursing Service. The successful candidate will provide nursing leadership and support the delivery of nursing skills and knowledge in the care, management, and education of children with specific specialist disorders.

The role encompasses autonomous practice, caseload management, and a level of specialist knowledge and intervention required by a specific patient group, their carers, and other staff involved in the care delivery process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing leadership and support to the Integrated Community Children's Nursing Service
  • Develop and implement nursing plans to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Conduct regular audits and evaluations to ensure quality of care

Requirements:

  • Registered Sick Children's Nurse with valid NMC Registration
  • Postgraduate expertise within the speciality/area of practice
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality/area of practice
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice
