Senior Maintenance Safety Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Safety Engineer to join our team at the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE) in RG7 4PR.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with expertise in maintenance engineering safety to contribute to the effective implementation of technical engineering safety. As a Senior Maintenance Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Engineering Safety Expertise: You will provide guidance on the safe and effective implementation of engineering safety, focusing on maintenance engineering practices.
  • Risk Management: Identify, manage, and report on engineering safety risks to senior management.
  • Standards and Regulations: Review and assess standards of competence for maintenance engineering safety and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert advice and support in resolving complex engineering issues across the business.
  • Leadership: Contribute to the development and efficient operation of the Engineering Safety Organisation.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in maintenance engineering, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. You must also be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of autonomy.
