Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Job Description:
New Directions Education Ltd is collaborating with an outstanding primary school to fill the role of a supportive teaching assistant. Responsibilities:
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be able to build strong relationships with students and staff.
- Be encouraging and supportive.
- Have a positive attitude towards teaching and aiding children development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the student.
The role involves working with children who require consistent mentoring, motivating and advising, as well as some counselling, to ensure their well-being remains stable and they can achieve their full potential.
Applicants must be prepared to practice De-escalation and calming techniques, as well as maintaining an empathetic approach, to understand the behaviours of the children.
Requirements:
- Have experience working with children, or adults, with additional needs.
- Hold a L2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Able to support children of all abilities.
- Have a positive and ambitious attitude to learning.
