Job Title: Environmental Consultancy Manager

Location: Remote based with Travel to sites around Kent, Essex and Dover

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 plus car / car allowance and package

Job Summary

A leading tier 1 contractor in the civil engineering and infrastructure sectors is seeking an Environmental Manager to oversee projects in the London and southern region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee monitoring equipment, collect, process and interpret data (e.g. water, dust, noise, waste)
  • Manage onsite Environmental Site inspections, highlighting any bad and good practice to the relevant teams and Senior Management
  • Ensure that the Project Environmental Management System is implemented and operated on site through a programme of checking and auditing
  • Prepare monthly environmental reports for the project, including completion of company/client and divisional reporting systems data systems
  • Regularly report progress (including achievements) against environmental compliance, and environmental targets to the whole team
  • Develop robust and comprehensive mitigation measures to deal with environmental risks, working collaboratively with the production team
  • Produce, review and update the Project Environmental Management Plan - EMP (and associated plans) on a regular basis
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and client representatives to ensure collaborative working relationships
Requirements
  • Significant experience with either a consulting engineer, civil engineering contractor or a specialist environmental contractor
  • Hold Bachelor's degree/MSc (or equivalent) in a relevant environmental discipline
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of environmental design and works and impacts on 3rd Parties
  • Knowledge of relevant UK Environment legislation and current best practice guidance
