We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our team at Ascent Sourcing Ltd.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality repairs and exceptional customer service in our state-of-the-art body shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to accurately assess the extent of the damage.
  • Identify and document any accidental damage to avoid uninsured loss damage costs.
  • Develop and implement effective repair methods using manufacturer-authorized repair methodologies.
  • Estimate repair costs and times, considering the most economical approach.
  • Communicate repair procedures and estimates to customers, engineers, and technicians.
  • Value vehicles at market value to determine repairable economics.
  • Review and report on ongoing challenges and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Maintain awareness of incoming vehicles and flag any issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
  • Assist in evaluating and justifying bodywork warranty claims.
  • Identify and address any problems, faults, or issues impacting vehicle performance and safety.
Requirements
  • ATA VDA Vehicle Damage Assessor certification.
  • Relevant experience as an estimator.
  • Ability to qualify and quantify repairs required.
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain personal technical knowledge and skills, including SMART repairs.
