Job Title: Team Leader

Lyreco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Regional Distribution Centre in Bracknell. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operational management of drivers and ensuring the smooth delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the RDC Manager in managing a team of Delivery Drivers, providing relief cover for holiday, sickness, and training when needed.
  • Assist in the unloading and breakdown of pallets, and the sortation of goods into route order as required.
  • Conduct random vehicle checks to ensure that items loaded are correct.
  • Undertake weekly vehicle checks for damage, wear, and tear, and report any mechanical faults, GV9 offences, or accidents at the earliest opportunity.
  • Be involved in the recruitment of new staff members.
Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of the Highway Code and regulations relating to the operation of delivery vehicles.
  • Basic working knowledge of tachographs and EU regulations relating to the working time directive.
  • Good supervisory and communication skills.
  • Ability to schedule, plan, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • C1 license with CPC and Tacho card in date.
