As a Forensic Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in leading and developing innovative plans to support prisoners with complex needs, including those with personality disorders and a history of serious offending.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct forensic assessments and formulate plans to support prisoners with complex needs.
  • Manage and supervise Forensic Psychologists in Training and engage directly with prisoners.
  • Collaborate with the Psychology and Interventions team, prisoners, and the wider prison community to promote rehabilitation and reduce re-offending.
  • Provide training on managing behaviours, personality disorders, and share information on complex case formulations with relevant teams for effective prisoner management.

Requirements:

  • HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologist.
  • Experience working in a prison establishment or the Forensic Mental Health field.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
