Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Corporate Governance Advisor to join our team at St. James's Place. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our governance practices are best-in-class and aligned with industry standards.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Compliance Officer to lead on governance-related matters and provide strategic advice to directors and management within the SJP Group of Companies. You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of statutory books, identifying new regulatory requirements, and preparing governance-related content for our annual reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic governance advice to directors and management
  • Lead on the training and induction of new directors/NEDs
  • Maintain statutory books of all Group companies
  • Identify new/proposed rules and guidelines in relation to governance and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Qualified Chartered Secretary and/or commensurate legal qualification/experience with at least five years' PQE
  • Experience of working within the secretariat of a Financial Services or other listed PLC organisation
  • Experience of providing support to boards and board committees of material subsidiaries in a financial services/listed plc organisation

Salary and Location

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. The role is based in London - Paddington, with some travel required.
