Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Diagnostic Radiologist to join our team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating into our well-established teams and developing new areas of interest.

Main Duties of the Job

The Consultant Diagnostic Radiologist will be expected to contribute to the department's general work and develop their own subspecialist interests. A formal job plan will be agreed between the appointee and their clinical director, covering all aspects of a consultant's professional practice, including clinical work, teaching, research, education, and managerial responsibilities.

Person Specification

  • Full GMC registration
  • FRCR or equivalent
  • Relevant CCT or equivalent
  • Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of interview

Essential Criteria

  • Clinical training and experience in Radiology equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT in Clinical Radiology
  • Experience in cross-sectional imaging and relevant subspecialist interest
  • Evidence of commitment to clinical audit, research, and teaching

Desirable Criteria

  • Relevant experience in a specialist interest pertinent to the post
  • Evidence of research or innovative service developments
