About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a one-form entry primary school in Southwark. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with SEN pupils and a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage and progress the learning of a pupil in Year 3
  • Report to the class teacher
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
  • Think 'outside the box' to extend pupil learning
  • Provide feedback to the pupil in relation to their progress and achievement
  • Work flexibly and efficiently in a dynamic and lively environment

Requirements:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with SEN pupils
  • Understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Desirable: Experience working with SEN children
