We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a mainstream secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to provide assistance and support during lessons, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Deliver targeted interventions and tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring their specific learning requirements are met.
  • Assist in maintaining high standards of pupil behaviour, promoting positive conduct and a respectful classroom atmosphere.
  • Aid students in their academic progress by providing one-on-one or small group tutoring, reinforcing learning concepts, and offering guidance with assignments.
  • Adapt teaching materials and strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students, promoting inclusion and ensuring equal access to education.
  • Assist in tracking and assessing student progress, recording observations, and providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers.
  • Help prepare learning materials, set up equipment, and organize resources to support effective teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate and communicate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other support staff to share information, exchange feedback, and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs).

Requirements:
