About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Obesity Service Manager to lead our multi-disciplinary Tier 3 specialist Weight Management Service in Plymouth. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure the safe and effective delivery of our service to the population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a complex and rapidly changing service with a focus on service redesign.
  • Work in close partnership with the multidisciplinary team to drive improvement, embed change, and standardize practice.
  • Develop and implement specialized treatment programs from a range of options based on extended clinical experience.
  • Identify, collect, analyze, and interpret complex case-related information.
  • Recognize own clinical competencies and the need for onward referral for more specialist advice.
  • Reflect on practice to identify own strengths and development needs.
Requirements
  • Highly specialist expertise and knowledge of weight management/obesity/eating disorders developed to MSc level or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of weight management and experience of clinical governance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate highly complex information to meet a range of levels of understanding.
  • Ability to negotiate and explain complex case-related information about obesity to a range of audiences.
  • Full and valid driving license.
