Job Title: Trainee Property Underwriter

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven graduate to join our team as a Trainee Property Underwriter. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily underwriting and processing of commercial and residential risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the underwriting and processing of commercial and residential risks.
  • Review and summarise files, gathering information on cases.
  • Undertake legal research and projects.
  • Develop industry knowledge and ensure accuracy in policy wording.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with clients and confidently discuss policy with them.
  • Work with integrity, company values, and regulatory standards.
  • Travel to other sites within the company group is required.
Requirements:
  • A 2.1 university degree, preferably in STEM, Law, Economics, Geography, etc.
  • Ideal experience in a commercial environment.
  • Advanced in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Confident in building client relationships and communicating with executives.
  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates a 'can do' attitude and a proactive approach to learning and development.
  • A positive, collaborative, and flexible team player.
