Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Summary
This role is focused on developing, maintaining, and continually improving the quality management systems at the site, as well as monitoring compliance with all relevant industry and certification standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of operations with the Quality & Food Safety Systems and certification standards.
- Manage the site quality management systems, including Change Control, CAPA, FIP, Document control, SAP QM, Quarantines, Quality Gemba, Coheris, and Complaints.
- Support colleagues for external audits of suppliers, third-party manufacturers, and contract rework.
- Support all external certification, customer, and SBFE/SBF audits, and investigate, report, and close out consumer/customer complaints.
- Contribute to the development of user requirement specifications (URS) for quality-related IT projects.
- Participate in quality and food safety review meetings, including HACCP, Food Safety Team, and QEHS departmental meetings.
- Ensure documentation meets the requirements of food safety & quality standards and identifies all control points as required by the HACCP plan.
- Support Continuous Improvement initiatives within Qualit and contribute to the delivery of site and departmental annual targets and objectives.
Your Team
This role requires a broad and well-developed set of partnership-level interfaces with various teams, including Coleford Quality and Technical teams, Manufacturing and Engineering operations teams, internal and external auditors, and others.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of relevant industry and certification standards, such as ISO, FSSC, and GMP.
- Technical understanding of SBFE/SBF manufacturing standards and operational experience of HACCP (CIEH Level 3 or equivalent).
- Experience in compliance auditing, reporting, and close-out of corrective action, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and proactive approach, with experience of working independently and as part of a wider QEHS Team.
- Able and confident communication skills, with excellent influencing skills at all levels of the business.
- Ability to handle confidential information and display a high level of integrity, with discretion and confidentiality.
- Good level of IT skills, effectively using available tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Manufacturing site assessment and auditing skills.
