Mechanical Engineer UK Façade Specialist

A dynamic opportunity has emerged for a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to collaborate with a leading fenestration and façade systems specialist in the UK. As a key member of the team, you will provide comprehensive support to partnering fabricators for the installation and operational maintenance of company-supplied machinery and equipment across the UK.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure seamless customer experiences from sales opportunities to machine commissioning through close collaboration with other departments.
- Promote machinery sales by arranging quotations, installations, servicing, repairs, and replacement parts.
- Conduct thorough pre-delivery machinery and workshop inspections, documenting all observations, conclusions, and recommendations to guarantee smooth installations.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating pre-delivery activities, ensuring that third-party services, equipment, risk assessments, and method statements are in place. You will also perform the installation and commissioning of new machinery in accordance with current EU and UK legislation, demonstrating machinery functionality, and instructing designated operators on proper use and safe operation.
Requirements and Qualifications- Hold industry-recognised qualifications and NICEIC-approved certification.
- Demonstrate established competence in machinery servicing, preferably from a controls background with mechanical experience.
- Display a basic understanding and competent working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Show experience of machinery control and network software.
- Be based in the Midlands region.
- Be prepared for frequent travel (national and international) and some overnight stays.
- Possess a valid UK driving licence.
The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 per annum, which includes a starting salary of £40,000 - £45,000, a company car, 25 days of holiday (option to purchase additional days), private healthcare (option to increase coverage for family members), and pension benefits. Additional voluntary benefits include dental cover, critical illness cover, and the option to buy extra holiday days.
