About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Paediatric High Dependency Unit (PHDU) nurse to join our team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. As a PHDU nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to level 1 and 2 patients, with occasional involvement in caring for level 3 patients until the Paediatric Critical Care Transport team arrives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, offer clinical advice, and support management of services to ensure the delivery of high-quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care.
  • Act as an excellent role model and support the nursing team around you to provide excellent patient care.
  • Work as part of a nursing and medical team to provide level 2 care and stabilisation to children and young people at Royal Derby Hospital.

Requirements:

  • Current NMC registration
  • Holds a level 2 PHDU qualification recognised by a UK academic body
  • Able to communicate complex and sensitive information

Salary: £32,000 - £43,041 per annum
