About the Role

As a Confidential Support Specialist at Cambridgeshire County Council, you will play a vital role in providing professional, proactive, and confidential support to one of our Service Directors.

Your primary responsibilities will include diary management, email monitoring, agenda management, minute taking, and acting as a link to key corporate areas of work.

You will also be involved in coordinating Councillor complaints and internal governance processes, while being part of an established hub of Executive Assistants and Personal Assistants who can guide and support you when needed.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have well-developed knowledge of business administration processes and IT systems.

An advantage would be an understanding of key commissioning principles within local authorities, but this is something that can be taught by the team.

You will also require a strong understanding of general business requirements such as HR and finance processes, information management, risk management, customer service, and health and safety.

In addition, an understanding of contracting within a local authority and knowledge or experience of social care statutory services would be desirable.

  • Develop strong and effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, partners, and providers where necessary.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
